AccommodationBosvean is a well insulated single storey chalet with double glazing. It is our holiday home so great attention has been paid to every detail. Duvets and blankets are provided but visitors will need to bring duvet covers, sheets, pillowcases and towels. Bosvean is a non-smoking chalet. Bosvean is available all year round, not just during the summer. We have had guests staying during Easter and autumn when it can be as warm as a summers day, and also those looking for a peaceful Christmas and New Year week. |

Bosvean is one of five well-spaced chalets situated in large gardens at the end of a stoney track, passable by car at all times of the year. A bridleway leads up the track but continues past the entrance to the gardens and on towards Portscatho a mile away. There are no public rights of way through the gardens.
The gardens consist of areas of lawn, trees, mature flowering shrubs and fruit trees. There is an area of woodland at the bottom of the garden through which a path runs down to the creek. Towan Beach is approximately 300 yards away via a footpath; a wide crescent of sand with areas of rock pools at either end. Hours of fun for kids and dogs!

The Roseland is a Designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is a quiet area of beautiful headlands, unspoilt beaches and wooded river valleys. The Percuil River with its hidden creeks flows through the Roseland to meet the Fal near the Carrick Roads.
The area is steeped in history, with old fishing villages, ports, smuggling, coach routes and the creeks which were the inspiration for Daphne Du Maurier's novels. Truro, Falmouth, The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, St Austell and Goss Moor are easily reached and road links to other parts of Cornwall, such as St Ives, are good.
The largest village on the Roseland is St Mawes. The rest of the peninsula is dotted with pretty hamlets, flower covered pubs, riverside barbeques, cream tea cottages and some very fine restaurants. A foot ferry runs from St Mawes to Falmouth and the King Harry Car Ferry crosses higher up the river. The BBC series 'Wild West' with Dawn French was filmed in Portloe, a popular place for visitors.
